Tulsa, Oklahoma was
inhabited by the Lockapoka Creek Indians. The Seminole, Quapaw, Shawnee and
Seneca Indian tribes were also relocated to Tulsa.
The St. Louis and
San Francisco Railroad came through the area around 1882. The Brady Theater was
constructed in 1914. During 1927, Waite Phillip erected the Italianite Villa.
Among those
associated with Tulsa, Oklahoma are Joe Diffe, Hanson, Paul Harvey, Eric
Clapton, Daniel Moynihan, Tony Randall, S.E. Hinton and J. Paul Getty.
Tulsa celebrates
the Tulsa State Fair, Oktoberfest and the Oklahoma Scottish Games and Gathering.
