About Tulsa, Oklahoma

Tulsa, Oklahoma is home of the world's largest bull sharks at the Oklahoma Aquarium and the world's largest collection of American Western Art at Gilcrease Museum. Some of America’s most beautiful Art Deco architecture, which crosses paths with Route 66, is available at Tulsa and spectacular to see. With its large goals of going Green and its small actions of staying clean, Tulsa is a town with its eyes set on the future with nothing holding them back.

Just about every kind of attraction available is offered at Tulsa. Tulsa offers an astonishing 140 parks. All of them have lots to offer. The Tulsa Zoo and the Tulsa Garden Center provide a variety of education on horticulture and nature’s wildlife. Gilcrease Museum is a must see. It tells the story of the great American West. New in Tulsa is the almost complete BOK Center. The multi-purpose arena seats 18,000 people and is connected to the Tulsa Convention Center, which was awarded a 2007 Prime Site Award.

There are many annual events in Tulsa but perhaps Oktoberfest has received the most recognition. Oktoberfest in Tulsa is not like any other. US Today named Tulsa one of the top ten places to toast Oktoberfest in the world. Reggaefest, Gatesway International Balloon Fest, Bluegrass and Chili Festival, and Powwow of Champions are also some of Tulsa’s annual events.
